4th Annual WNY LGBTQ+ Pride & Wellness 5K Fun Run/Walk Event

Niagara Pride's WNY LGBTQ+ Pride & Wellness 5K returns in 2025, with a number of new elements and features, making it not only the premier LGBTQ+ health and wellness focused event in all of WNY, but also the event to kick off Pride Season in our area!

For 2025, the WNY LGBTQ+ Pride & Wellness 5K will feature:

Several local health providers as vendors sharing information about LGBTQ+ specific and/or LGBTQ+ affirming programs and services
Opportunities for on-site testing and screenings
New this year, The WNY Shopping With Pride Village - LGBTQ+ and ally vendors will be present to sell various items, crafts, and merchandise
Also new this year, presentations on various topics related to LGBTQ+ health and wellness from local subject matter experts.

This is a fun run/walk...so you can run, strut, or sashay your way across the finish line!

Parking: Free on campus

Food: Participants will receive a hotdog, chips, soda/water as part of their registration

The 5K is an all-inclusive event, allowing for individuals of all ages, ability levels, and experiences to participate. Individuals can run or walk the event. We encourage local businesses and corporations to enter as teams, showing your support for the WNY LGBTQ+ community.

This event is designed to bring awareness to the LGBTQ+ community about WNY providers and agencies that offer various health and wellness services (physical, mental health, recovery, legal, housing, financial, etc.) that are either LGBTQ+ specific and/or LGBTQ+ affirming.

Agencies wishing to provide brief lecture style presentations the day of the event, please contact Sherry Fossett and Ronald Piaseczny at info@niagarapride.org with your presentation idea, presenter information, and other details.

WNY LGBTQ+ PRIDE & WELLNESS 5K EVENT

This year, our goal is to raise $30,000 to establish and operate the first and only LGBTQ+ Youth Drop-In Program in Niagara County. LGBQT+ youth are at higher risks of depression, anxiety, and substance use compared to their straight counterparts. LGBTQ+ youth also experience higher rates of bullying. According to a 2019 Trevor Project study, every 45 seconds in the US, an LGBTQ+ youth between the ages of 13 and 21 attempts suicide.

The drop-in program is our effort to create a safe and affirming space, where these kids can come and feel welcome and accepted while mitigating the factors that can lead to depression, anxiety, substance use, and suicide.

Levels of Sponsorship:

Bronze - $100 to $499: Sponsor is mentioned on the event t-shirt and all printed materials, as well as on our social media.
Silver - $500 to $999: Bronze level plus a sign along the 5K route with your logo and two (2) 5K participation entry fees waived.
Gold - $1,000 to $2,499: Silver level plus free vendor tent space during the event and four (4) 5K participation entry fees waived.
Platinum - $2,500 to $4,999: Gold level plus six (6) 5K participation entry fees waived.
Diamond - $5,000 or more: Platinum level plus ten (10) 5K participation entry fees waived and a unique recognition award.
