    Health Care

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has served its community for more than 120 years with care characterized by its compassion, innovation and effectiveness. Founded in 1898 and operating from a 29-acre campus on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC) near downtown Buffalo, New York, Roswell Park today remains the only comprehensive cancer center designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Upstate New York, and one of only four NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers in all of New York. Roswell Park is committed to offering LGBTQ+ patients, and their families quality cancer care. With clinicians trained to address the needs of LGBTQ+ patients, liaisons to LGBTQ+ healthcare services, and numerous clinics and services, Roswell Park does not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, color, national origin, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability. We provide access to sexual health clinics, cervical and anal cancer screenings, and tobacco cessation, with social workers available to help navigate all available resources for LGBTQ+ patients and visitors.
