WNY Pride 5K
THE WNY PRIDE 5K IS BACK…LIVE AND IN PERSON!!!!
Join us for the glorious return of the WNY Pride 5k…where you can run, walk, strut, or sashay across the finish line!
**When pre-registering, you will be directed to our race partner’s website, Gone For A Run. Please complete registration through their portal. Be advised, although they are a virtual run site, the WNY Pride 5K is indeed a live fun run being held in person on May, 20, 2023**
Pre-Registration: Pre-registration for the event is strongly encouraged. It is recommended you register 10 days prior to the run/walk in order to receive your bib and event merch to wear during the Pride 5K!
Day Of Event Registration: Registration on-site will also be occurring day of the event. You will be able to do register online in order to receive 5K merch items and pay by credit card for the event (a temporary bib will be issued to you & merch will be sent to you after the event). If you wish to participate in the event without 5K merch, you can pay by cash/credit card the day of the event (see above for fees; will only receive an event bib).
Volunteering: VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME! We need a number of volunteers to help out with set up, check in, water distribution, clean up. To register as a volunteer, please use the following Volunteer Sign Up Portal Link: https://forms.office.com/r/us8qZdmxu2

Time: 8:15AM to 9:15AM – Participant Check in
9:30AM to 10:30AM – Run/Walk
10:30AM to 11:30AM – Post Run/Walk Celebration
Cost (Pre-Registration):
- $35 – Medal and Bib (select the “remove shirt” option under Virtual Race Apparel)
- $49 – T-shirt, Medal, and Bib ($3 extra for XXL shirt option)
Cost (Day of Registration):
- Adult: $25 – cash/credit option – race bib only
- Students with ID / Veterans and Active Military / Seniors 55+: $10 – cash/credit option – race bib only
- $35-$52 – credit only option to receive event swag by mail
Kicking off the list of festivities lined up by Niagara Pride is the WNY Pride 5K Fun Run/Walk. We are encouraging participants to run, walk, strut, or sashay across the finish line! This fun run/walk event is open to all! This year, we are thrilled to have The Buffalo Sabres Foundation, The Buffalo Bills, and The John Fiore Foundation as sponsors of the event. Additionally, Wegmans will be donating foods for participants. As a special treat, this year’s WNY Pride 5k will have local drag legend, Blair Michaels, performing and music provided by WNY’s only LGBTQ+ radio station, Energy Radio.
Local LGBTQ+ agencies will also be on hand to share Information about services they offer in the WNY community.
The proceeds from the WNY Pride 5K will benefit Niagara Pride, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to help fund the expansion of LGBTQ+ community-based programs and services the agency offers in Niagara County as well as throughout WNY, including additional community outreach, groups and programs for youth and senior LGBTQ+ individuals, and increasing our health awareness initiatives.
